A Full Head Tint applies one cohesive shade across your entire head, from roots through to ends, to cover greys, deepen your natural colour, or create a fresh uniform tone. This 75-minute service uses permanent or semi-permanent colour to deliver even, polished results with a glossy finish that looks refined and feels healthy.
More information
What to expect during your appointment
Your stylist will begin with a consultation to discuss your desired shade, previous colour history, and hair condition. From there, your hair is sectioned methodically and colour is applied evenly from root to tip, ensuring full saturation and consistent coverage. After processing for around 30 to 45 minutes, the colour is rinsed, shampooed with colour-safe products, conditioned, and finished with a blow-dry. The entire service takes 75 minutes.
Who this service suits
Full Head Tint is ideal if you want:
- Complete grey coverage with a natural, even result
- A darker or richer base colour without multi-tonal dimension
- To refresh faded colour and restore vibrancy and shine
- A polished, uniform finish that looks refined between salon visits
This service is not designed for significant lightening in one step. If you want to go much lighter from a dark base, our team in Crawley will recommend a lightening service followed by toner for a safe, beautiful result.
Maintenance and longevity
Permanent Full Head Tint typically requires root touch-ups every four to six weeks as your natural hair grows through, especially if there is a noticeable difference in shade or if you are covering greys. Semi-permanent or gloss applications may last six to eight weeks before refreshing. To maintain colour vibrancy and hair health, use sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner, limit heat styling, and space out washes where possible. Your stylist will recommend a tailored homecare plan during your consultation.
Preparing for your service
Arrive with dry, unwashed hair, as natural oils help protect your scalp during the colour process. Share any previous colour treatments, keratin services, or chemical history with your stylist so the formula can be tailored to your hair's condition and porosity. A patch test is recommended before your first colour appointment or if you have sensitive skin, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience.
